Chapter 17

“Song Zhaolin, you shameless bastard!!!”
“Have you no shame?! How dare you rig the votes!!!”
“Is it really worth it just for the title of School Belle?! Are you that desperate?!!”
That night, Song Zhaolin’s phone buzzed incessantly, flooded with messages from classmates and friends.
He was utterly baffled: Rig the votes? I didn’t! I would never!!
Song Zhaolin had always been well-liked, getting along with both rich kids and students from ordinary families. So when this explosive news spread across the entire school, a flood of people came to half-jokingly demand an explanation.
Comrade Song Zhaolin, now gloriously elected as this year’s School Belle, was stunned for a long while.
After recovering, he looked in the mirror, studying his relatively handsome features, and thought with a hint of bashfulness:
“Holy shit, I actually outshone Sister Yin?!”
But before the thought had even fully formed, he slapped himself hard:
“Pfft, as if I’m worthy!”
How could he possibly outshine Sister Yin’s looks?!
So what the hell happened?? He hadn’t rigged the votes himself, and the forum’s system wasn’t supposed to allow vote manipulation anyway, only students from Quiwen Private High School had voting rights, and everyone had only one account.
Could it be that someone had pulled off a miracle at the last minute, forcibly pushing him onto the School Belle throne?? Who the hell loved (or hated) him that much??
Among everyone, Tan Ke was laughing the hardest. As the mastermind behind Song Zhaolin’s nomination, he never expected his buddy to actually win the title of School Belle. This was just too damn wild.
Tan Ke laughed his ass off all night, until he suddenly remembered his other buddy who had been elected Campus Hunk, which made him want to laugh even harder. He sent Song Zhaolin a WeChat message: [Zhaolin, you and our Brother Zhen are now the official pairing, you’re Brother Zhen’s dance partner now, hahahahaha]
Song Zhaolin replied instantly: [Will I even survive the night??? [Terrified][Terrified]]
Tan Ke: [Bro, I suggest you go save yourself ASAP.]
[Not only Brother Zhen, but Chu Yin could’ve been elected too, and you ended up stealing her spot. Shouldn’t you apologize to her?]
Song Zhaolin: [Tanzi, you’re so thoughtful!! [Flying kiss]]
First, he sincerely sent Lu Zhen a WeChat message: [Brother Zhen, I swear to heaven, I have no improper thoughts about you! I didn’t mean to become this ‘Belle’!!]
After sending it, there was no response for a long time. Song Zhaolin waited a while, then sent another message: [Brother Zhen?]
This time, there was finally a response: [Message sent, but blocked by the recipient.]
Song Zhaolin: QAQ!
Heartbroken, he opened Chu Yin’s chat window: [Sis Yin, I really didn’t mean it! In my heart, you’ll always be the prettiest School Belle [crying][crying]]
He thought Chu Yin would block him too, but unexpectedly, her response was surprisingly gentle.
Chu Yin: [Linlin, be more confident. You deserve it.]
Song Zhaolin: ??? Why am I suddenly so touched I feel like crying?
Who would’ve thought that beneath her icy exterior, Sis Yin was actually so warm-hearted!
Chu Yin: Guilty but won’t admit it.jpg
The next day, when Song Zhaolin went to school, he clearly noticed that people were turning to look at him more often than usual.
Usually a confident and sunny young man, he now found himself nearly walking with his butt tucked in, shyly stepping with delicate pigeon-toed feet.
By the time he finally made it to Class 5, Chu Yin was already at her desk studying. Normally, she wouldn’t even glance at him when he entered the classroom and took his seat, but today, for the first time ever, she actually looked up and gave him a glance.
In that look, there was a mix of wanting to laugh but holding back, guilt but trying to hide it, and other complex emotions. Her eyes were brighter than usual, making Song Zhaolin instinctively run a hand through his hair.
She even reached out and pulled his chair out for him: “Sit.”
Song Zhaolin was flattered, was this the treatment of a School Belle?! It felt… surprisingly good?
Chu Yin suppressed her slightly uneasy conscience and tried hard not to laugh.
The rules of her sentence-editing power dictated that she could only choose targets from the list of registered candidates. Yesterday, she had given it careful thought. While she could have made Fu Mingxuan or Chu Qiuqiu the School Belle, considering the overall novel plot, if either of them won, they would undoubtedly cause even more trouble, and Chu Yin would just be creating problems for herself.
After weighing all options, Song Zhaolin was simply the most suitable candidate. He wouldn’t stir up conflict and could even add comedic effect to the plot, killing two birds with one stone. She was practically an artist.
As more and more classmates arrived, the first thing each of them did upon entering the classroom was to look in Song Zhaolin’s direction.
“Damn, Zhaolin, you’re amazing!”
“You’re famous now!”
“The official statement said there were no data anomalies, so it must’ve been a system glitch? You’re really going down in Quiwen history!”
Chu Yin guiltily lowered her eyes, focusing intently on her studies with an air of being unaffected by external matters.
When the boys in the class looked at Song Zhaolin, they inevitably noticed Chu Yin sitting beside him.
The girl kept her head down, soft strands of bangs falling gently over her delicate brows. Sitting by the window, half her body was bathed in soft light, making her look incredibly beautiful.
The boys blushed again.
If the system hadn’t glitched, she would probably be the School Belle now. None of them knew how many among them had voted for Chu Yin yesterday.
So when Fu Mingxuan entered, they all hurriedly averted their gaze, not daring to look at her either, after all, they had promised to vote for her.
When Fu Mingxuan came into the classroom, she first glanced at Song Zhaolin. Seeing him safe and sound, she breathed a sigh of relief.
Yesterday after school, when Chu Yin was still leading in votes, she had been so angry that she contacted the “big sister” from the neighboring No. 1 High School, hoping they could intimidate the new School Belle into not acting too ostentatious in the future.
The nearby schools all knew that Quiwen Private High School was famous for having many beautiful, rich girls, so they always paid close attention to the annual "School Belle and Beau" rankings. Fu Mingxuan paid generously, and the girls naturally didn’t refuse.
After explaining the task, Fu Mingxuan covered her face and sneaked away. Who would have thought that by evening, the situation would suddenly reverse, Chu Yin didn’t become the School Belle?!
Although Fu Mingxuan was happy with this outcome, she was a little worried about a mix-up.
...Surely those troublemaker girls from No. 1 High weren’t that stupid.
At the same time.
In the internet cafe across from the school, a few heavily made-up girls from No. 1 High opened the homepage of Quiwen Private High School.
"Is Lu Zhen still their School Hunk this year? Ah! so jealous!"
"And the second one, Gu Qiuzhe, he’d totally be the School Hunk at our school too!"
"Wipe your drool, our focus today is the School Belle, "
The mouse scrolled down, and several heads crowded in front of the screen: "Song Zhaolin?"
"There’s no photo, how are we supposed to find them?"
"Whatever, we’ll just ask around. The School Belle must be pretty famous, "

Lu Zhen was in a bad mood.
Although he appeared as lazy and indifferent as usual, Tan Ke, who sat across the aisle from him, could still sense it. Logically, Lu Zhen had never been interested in rankings or things like that, so he shouldn’t care.
"Brother Zhen, are you going to the dance?" Tan Ke asked.
Lu Zhen frowned but hadn’t spoken yet when a figure drifted into the classroom.
"Brother Zhen!!!"
On his way over, Song Zhaolin had run into several friends winking at him, which made him feel all flamboyant.
So when the flamboyant Song Zhaolin walked into the international class, Lu Zhen raised a hand to cover his eyes, and Tan Ke also wore an expression of utter disbelief: "Can you act normal for once?!"
Song Zhaolin grinned and sat down: "I’ve realized that being the School Belle isn’t so bad after all!"
Lu Zhen’s expression remained neutral. Tan Ke chuckled and asked, "What do you mean?"
Song Zhaolin: "The treatment I got today was insane, my deskmate even pulled out my chair for me and actually initiated a conversation. Oh my god!"
Lu Zhen suddenly lifted his eyelids, his dark eyes unreadable.
Beside him, Tan Ke was quite surprised: "Really? And she didn’t beat you up for stealing her title?"
Song Zhaolin: "Nope! She even told me I deserved it, hahahaha."
Tan Ke laughed too: "Damn, hahaha."
Lu Zhen also felt like laughing. Out of sheer frustration.
That good student was probably delighted with the situation and had no intention of having any connection with him.
After chatting for a while, Song Zhaolin got cheeky again and asked Lu Zhen with a grin, "Brother Zhen, are we really not going to dance together? I think everyone is pretty excited."
Tan Ke desperately stifled his laughter, he was quite looking forward to it, but he didn’t dare say so out of fear for his life.
Lu Zhen lifted his eyes, looked at him, and slowly uttered one word: “Get lost.”
Song Zhaolin: “Got it, ”
The School Belle came and went like the wind, leaving behind only a graceful silhouette.
Lu Zhen sat for a while, then suddenly stood up. Tan Ke straightened up beside him and asked, “Where are you going?”
“Don’t follow me,” Lu Zhen waved him off.
Once Lu Zhen left, the conversations in the classroom grew a bit more unrestrained.
“Ah, I feel bad for our Brother Zhen! Is he really going to dance with Song Zhaolin?”
“I think this outcome is pretty great, haha. I don’t think that other person deserves to be the School Belle anyway.”
“Honestly, I feel the same. Her face is okay, but you have to look at the whole package…”
“Yeah, she’s too plain.”
Some of the boys nearby, after hearing this, felt a wave of sourness hit them.
With Chu Yin’s face, once you see it, you can’t even think of anything else, what’s there to look at beyond that?!
Lu Zhen left the classroom and instinctively headed toward Class Five, but halfway there, he felt inexplicably foolish.
What was he even looking at?
Lu Zhen scoffed at himself.
But he couldn’t help it, it was like an itch in his heart, an idea that had taken root.
He walked along the corridor and, before turning the corner, suddenly heard Song Zhaolin’s voice: “Sis Yin, are you really not coming to the dance?”
Lu Zhen abruptly stopped.
Two seconds later, Chu Yin’s cold voice replied, “Not going. It’s boring. I need to study.”
Lu Zhen’s lips twitched slightly upward. So she was like this with others too.
“Brother Zhen will be there! Even if you don’t want to watch me dance, don’t you want to see a handsome guy?!”
Lu Zhen unconsciously held his breath, waiting for her response.
“No,” her voice was even colder than before.
Chu Yin truly couldn’t be bothered to attend some dance, but Song Zhaolin felt his title was ambiguous and insisted on dragging her along to lend him credibility.
She thought for a moment and tried to comfort Song Zhaolin: “Be more confident. Actually, you and Lu Zhen are a pretty good match.”
Song Zhaolin looked horrified: “?”
Lu Zhen, just a wall away: “…”
Chu Yin said sincerely, “That kind of chemistry between couples is something people create. Even two completely incompatible people can develop a storyline if you force them together. Besides, you two have known each other since childhood, childhood sweethearts, right?”
Song Zhaolin stared blankly.
This was the first time Lu Zhen had heard her say so many words at once.
The girl’s voice was clear and sweet, every word distinct, but listening to her nearly gave Lu Zhen a heart attack.
Chu Yin had planted the seeds of love in Song Zhaolin’s heart and, satisfied, picked up her vocabulary book and left, leaving Song Zhaolin to rebuild his worldview alone.
Lu Zhen, his face cold, walked around the corner. Song Zhaolin saw him and jumped in fright, then hurriedly tried to clear his name: “I didn’t! Brother Zhen, I really didn’t!”
Lu Zhen didn’t look at him. His gaze was fixed in the direction Chu Yin had left, she was probably heading to the stairwell to go to the rooftop and study. Lu Zhen turned and took the stairs on the other side, waiting for her in the stairwell.
Song Zhaolin worriedly thought: It’s over. If Brother Zhen heard all that, he probably hates Sister Yin even more now!
Chu Yin first filled her water bottle, then walked toward the rooftop while reviewing vocabulary.
As soon as she reached the stairs, she saw Lu Zhen.
Study System: “Beep, it must be a special kind of fate.”
Chu Yin said mercilessly, “Get lost.”
The annoying guy was leaning against the wall, head bowed as he played on his phone, as if he hadn’t noticed her.
His dark hair fell loosely, and from this angle, the reddish-brown tear mole beneath his eye was just visible. The proportions of his profile were precise, so perfect it seemed deliberately arranged.
But Chu Yin remained completely unmoved, thinking: What bad luck, what bad luck. I really wish I could take another route.
Still, turning around to leave or changing her script on the spot would be too obvious. Instead, she focused her gaze downward and walked straight ahead, intending to act as if she hadn’t seen him.
Just as they passed each other, she heard a soft chuckle. Lu Zhen lifted his head from his phone and asked, "Not even a greeting?"
Chu Yin: Hello??
What greeting? Are we even close??
Thank goodness I’m a civilized person, or I’d be cursing your entire family!
The stairwell was small, with only the two of them present. Lu Zhen’s gaze fell on her face, taking in her momentary surprise and the slight frown that followed.
So vividly expressive.
Adhering to the principle of never breaking the persona she had carefully crafted, Chu Yin paused for a few seconds before replying in a flat, obedient tone, "Hello."
Lu Zhen’s eyelashes trembled slightly.
An empty stairwell, a girl holding a water cup, forced to say hello.
She was exactly the kind of bookworm he disliked, but… she was so well-behaved.
Chu Yin had no idea what the jerk was thinking.
But she was thinking, If this isn’t wooden and rigid enough, the next step would be pretending to be a complete fool.
She continued in a monotone, "Is there anything else?" Her implication was clear: I’m busy, don’t bother me.
Lu Zhen’s emotions suddenly scattered, and he snapped back to reality.
…Was he going to annoy her further? She clearly despised him.
Even as she tried to hide it, it felt as though every pore of her body was rejecting him.
The young man composed himself and took a step back. "No, nothing else."
Chu Yin stole a glance at him. Lu Zhen’s expression had already cooled, and she breathed a quiet sigh of relief.
The plot had truly changed. From the so-called love at first sight to Lu Zhen pursuing her later, none of it had happened.
After all, at this point, Lu Zhen was just a 17-year-old boy, without the twisted developments that would come later. As the heir to a top-tier conglomerate, an exceedingly arrogant young master, he was undoubtedly prideful. It wasn’t like him to repeatedly pay attention to a little bookworm he looked down upon.
Feeling slightly reassured, Chu Yin didn’t linger for even a moment. She turned and headed up the stairs.
Lu Zhen watched her leave. That plain, slender figure didn’t hesitate in the slightest.
He’d heard that intelligent, beautiful women were like this, focused solely on their own goals, unwavering in the face of anything else.
If possible... then he wished she would always remain like this, the same toward everyone.
Never swayed by anyone, never showing warmth to anyone.
The morning passed, and Chu Yin still hadn’t been persuaded by Song Zhaolin. She continued to refuse to attend the dance.
By noon, Song Zhaolin said he didn’t want to eat at the cafeteria and decided to go out for a meal. Chu Yin didn’t mind, and just then, Jiang Yan came over to ask about a problem. After explaining it, the two of them headed to the cafeteria together.
Song Zhaolin: So the treatment of being the school belle was just a fleeting moment, sob sob.
Both Chu Yin and Jiang Yan were diligent and hardworking types, and even on their way to the cafeteria, they were discussing problems.
After chatting for a while, Jiang Yan sighed and adjusted her glasses. "Your logical thinking is really impressive, no wonder you scored full marks in math. That’s amazing."
Chu Yin’s logical thinking was actually quite poor, it was purely honed by the torment of the GMAT in her past life. In terms of logic, that scoundrel Lu Zhen completely outclassed her.
"Your framework is excellent too," Chu Yin admired her as well. "Your knowledge system for the liberal arts is so solid."
This was typical of diligent, hardworking academic achievers, especially in the liberal arts. Their knowledge framework could be so clear that they knew every textbook, every unit, and every lesson inside out. Chu Yin deeply admired this.
In her past life at Quiwen, she had never interacted with such academically strong classmates. Now that she had improved herself, the people she interacted with were different too.
Jiang Yan, however, shook her head. The more she interacted with Chu Yin, the more she felt the gap between them. Chu Yin’s knowledge level was clearly on a different plane. When faced with the same problem, her approach was much broader than Jiang Yan’s.
But Jiang Yan didn’t feel jealous. She knew that Chu Yin worked even harder than she did, and she believed Chu Yin deserved all her achievements. It only motivated Jiang Yan to strive harder.
On their way to the cafeteria, they passed by the school gate. While Jiang Yan was talking, she suddenly noticed a few girls standing at the gate who clearly weren’t students of Quiwen.
She tugged at Chu Yin’s sleeve, signaling her to look in that direction.
Chu Yin glanced over and recognized them as students from the neighboring No. 1 High School, clearly the type who weren’t focused on studying. These girls would show up at Quiwen’s gate from time to time, sometimes to check out handsome guys, sometimes to cause trouble.
"Let’s go, don’t pay them any attention," Chu Yin said.
Jiang Yan naturally agreed. "Okay."
As Chu Yin walked past, one of the girls from No. 1 High School spotted her and quickly tugged at her companion. "Damn, that girl is so pretty."
When her companions looked over, they only saw two retreating figures, both looking plain and nerdy, clearly the studious type.
"Pretty? What are you talking about?!"
"No, seriously! The girl on the left is super pretty, like the face of your first love, could she be the school belle?!"
One of the companions frowned, then casually grabbed a boy who had just walked out of the school gate and asked, "Hey, classmate, can I ask you something?"
The boy was quite cooperative. "Sure, go ahead."
The girl from No. 1 High School was pleased. "Tell me, who is Song Zhaolin?"
Song Zhaolin: "...Huh?"
Had his reputation already spread so far that people were coming to the school gate to wait for him? And several girls, no less?!
Song Zhaolin flicked his hair, revealing a dashing and confident smile:
"Classmate, what can I do for you?"
...
Twenty minutes later.
Song Zhaolin left, disheveled and dazed.
The girls had taken him to a small alley and thoroughly teased him, feeling they had done their job properly after being paid.
"So Huaiwen is just messing around this year? The school belle is a guy?"
"He seems pretty easygoing, how could he have made enemies with anyone?"
"Blocking someone's path?"
A few girls walked out of the alley laughing and joking, about to head off for a bite to eat, when suddenly they heard a soft, gentle voice: "Excuse me, are you looking for Huaiwen's school belle?"
They turned to see a girl dressed exquisitely, quite good-looking, clearly one of Huaiwen's rich, pretty girls.
The heavily made-up leader of the group sneered arrogantly: "What, are you the school belle?"
Chu Qiuqiu happened to be passing by and overheard them saying, "Someone sent me to warn the school belle," and quickly guessed what was going on.
"You must have the wrong person," Chu Qiuqiu covered her mouth and giggled delicately. "The original school belle was the runner-up, named Chu Yin."
The girls also thought it unlikely that the person paying them would target a guy, and they started to believe her.
"What does this Chu Yin look like?"
Chu Qiuqiu said, "Quite pretty, but very rustic, always in her school uniform."
"Holy crap, isn't that the girl I just saw?!"
"Did you remember her face?"
"Of course, how could you forget a face like that?!"
"Perfect."
After revealing the key information with just a few words, Chu Qiuqiu glanced around and slipped away. The thought of someone going to cause trouble for Chu Yin made her incredibly happy.
Even though Chu Yin had a high number of votes, in the end, no one ended up as the school belle, so having more votes was useless. The comments on the message board yesterday were right: if Chu Yin really became the school belle, other schools would laugh at Huaiwen for picking a country bumpkin.
Besides, they came from wealthy families. Apart from her face, Chu Yin had no poise, taste, or elegance, how could she possibly deserve to be the school belle?
Chu Qiuqiu was in a great mood. She bought some milk tea outside the school and returned as if nothing had happened, running into Chu Shi and Gu Qiuzhe.
"Brother, Brother Qiuzhe," Chu Qiuqiu greeted them sweetly.
Chu Shi glanced behind her: "Why are you alone?" Usually, Chu Qiuqiu was always with her girlfriends wherever she went.
Chu Qiuqiu’s heart skipped a beat. She had just seen Song Zhaolin and the others heading into the alley, so she had parted ways with her friends. But her brother definitely hadn’t seen that, and she wasn’t about to tell him that someone was going to cause trouble for Chu Yin.
"They... they didn’t feel like having milk tea today."
"Mm," Chu Shi didn’t press further. "Go back to class."
Chu Qiuqiu hurried off.
Gu Qiuzhe glanced at Chu Shi. "Looking closely, not very similar."
Chu Shi shot him a sidelong look. "What's not similar?"
"Her and Chu Yin," Gu Qiuzhe chuckled. "The gap is quite noticeable."
Chu Shi sighed softly but didn't deny it.
The Chu family's stance on this matter was very ambiguous, they never publicly clarified Chu Yin and Chu Qiuqiu's identities, only stating that both were daughters of the Chu family.
Yet the situation was full of loopholes. The Chu parents didn't want to hurt either daughter, but the result would inevitably hurt both. At least from his perspective, his biological sister hadn't developed any attachment to this family.
Chu Yin probably felt no nostalgia for her previous home either. She had spent so many years alone in this world without family, and later...
His sister, he would be the one to cherish her.
Chu Shi looked at Gu Qiuzhe again and sighed. "Who knows if you'll even be reliable in the future."
Gu Qiuzhe: "?"
Chu Shi continued disdainfully, "You couldn't even beat Lu Zhen for school heartthrob. What use are you?"
Gu Qiuzhe: "? I already lost to him last year, okay."
Chu Shi: "Oh, but Yin Yin didn't become school belle either. You both came in second."
Gu Qiuzhe: ...I feel like you're implying something.

Lunch break ended.
When Chu Yin returned to her seat after lunch, Song Zhaolin was lost in thought.
After what happened earlier, he wondered: Was the burden of this beauty too heavy for him to bear?
Chu Yin looked at him. "What's wrong with you?"
Song Zhaolin gazed blankly at Chu Yin. "Sis Yin, have I really become so delectable now?"
Chu Yin asked, "How delectable?"
Song Zhaolin touched his face. "Delectable enough to get dragged into an alley and harassed."
"..." Chu Yin suddenly felt somewhat guilty. "Could it be because of your school belle title?"
Song Zhaolin nodded self-pityingly. "Yes."
Chu Yin grew even more guilty.
Could the side effects of the school belle halo affect boys too??
This is too ridiculous! Truly fitting for a novel world.
Chu Yin coughed twice and patted Song Zhaolin's shoulder. "No, you're not that beautiful yet." It's just that fate is too merciless.
Song Zhaolin pitifully slumped over Chu Yin's desk. "My heart feels so cold."
Chu Yin comforted him, "Don't be like that. Daddy feels for you."
Song Zhaolin seized the opportunity. "So how can you bear to refuse to come to the dance?"
Chu Yin's conscience finally stirred. "Alright, I'll go."
Only then did Song Zhaolin cheer up.
Actually, those girls hadn't gone too far, he was just startled since it was his first time facing such a situation. But why did Sis Yin look so guilty? It had nothing to do with her.
Hehehe, she's such a kind little angel.
...
After school, Chu Yin sat in the classroom doing problems as usual.
Beep, Political test score: 97. Task completed. Gained [Word Change] permission.
Host, unlock the script?!
Chu Yin put away her pen. "Unlock."
The script unfolded. Chu Yin crossed her arms and skimmed through it, thinking, Just as I expected.
Although she had altered the school belle plotline, the storyline was still quietly exerting its influence.
Some little troublemaker had tried to mess with her but ended up targeting Song Zhaolin by mistake. However, through the functions of other side characters, these people were now coming to cause trouble for her.
If Chu Yin went out now, those older girls would surround her, drag her into the alley, and "educate" her.
This kind of idiotic behavior wasn’t something Chu Yin hadn’t experienced in her past life, but seeing it now gave her a sense of suffocating déjà vu.
"Host, perhaps you could choose to leave through the school’s back gate?"
Chu Yin, however, calmly opened her geography workbook and replied, "No rush, let them wait a bit."
She had already arranged with her family’s driver to pick her up later. Meanwhile, the people waiting outside to ambush her had no choice but to keep waiting.
By the time Chu Yin finally strolled leisurely out of the school, the older girls were practically starving.
"Hurry, hurry, she’s here!" "Are you sure it’s her?" "It’s her!"
Chu Yin glanced at them and then headed straight toward the alley across from the school. The girls from No. 1 High School were dumbfounded and instinctively followed her.
On the way, Chu Yin opened the voice memo app on her phone. Once they reached the spot, she asked them, "At noon, did you bully someone from our school named Song Zhaolin?"
The leader laughed. "That little hottie?"
Chu Yin said, "Don’t you plan to apologize?"
The girls spat out their gum with a scoff, thinking she was out of her mind. "He’s just a guy! We were just joking around with him! It’s not like anything serious happened."
That was an admission.
Chu Yin, gripping her phone in her pocket, continued, "So it’s okay to lay hands on someone just because he’s a guy? Reverse the genders and see how disgusting you look, you’re no different from creepy sexual harassers."
One of the older girls rudely spat and retorted, "Oh, so you’re the only one with a mouth, huh? The only one who knows how to run it?"
"You little brat, we’ll teach you a lesson today!"
These girls, used to street life, didn’t take Chu Yin seriously at all. They picked up whatever was handy from the ground and started closing in on her.
Chu Yin wasn’t flustered. She had the script right in front of her:
[The girls picked up bricks from the ground, intending to surround Chu Yin. Chu Yin didn’t back down; with her abilities, she could easily take care of the people in front of her.]
"Host, taking direct action is still somewhat risky. The system suggests you first weaken the lethality of their weapons."
Chu Yin said, "Who said I was going to fight?"
Her goal this time was to make these habitual school bullies face disciplinary action. After all, even after two lifetimes, these people hadn’t improved at all, diligently playing their roles as lowlifes in this dumbed-down world.
"Now that the recording is done and the evidence is collected, all she needs to do is wrap things up."
Chu Yin retorted, "Why shouldn’t I make their weapons backfire on them?"
Study System: "How do you make them backfire?"
"Ah, your imagination is still lacking."
As she spoke, she moved the light pen, crossed out [brick], and changed it to [dog poop].
Study System: "..."
Can’t compete, really can’t compete [fist bump].
Chu Yin: Isn’t it great to win without a fight?
The girls closed in with sinister smirks, ready to teach this clueless person a lesson.
Suddenly, the slender and beautiful girl in front wrinkled her nose in disgust and let out a disgusted "Ew."
"You’re so gross," she said, frowning. "You’re actually playing with poop."
"Who are you calling, "
Before she could finish, the leader suddenly caught a whiff of something.
She turned her head and saw that what she was holding was a steaming pile of shit?!
The proximity, the details, the sheer beauty of the scene, it was too overwhelming.
The hunger she’d felt earlier, combined with a wave of nausea, surged up her throat. The leader let out a loud "Ugh!" and was instantly disgusted to the point of collapse.
The other girls, ignoring their own disgust, quickly dropped the poop and rushed over.
One of them pinched the leader’s philtrum: "Big Sis, wake up! Are you okay? Wake up!"
The leader barely managed to come to, only to open her eyes and see one of the girls’ shit-stained hand pressed against her mouth.
She let out an even more intense "Ugh, " and passed out completely.
Chu Yin clapped her hands and said, "By the way, the school belle is the one who sent you after me. Next time you see her, make sure you don’t let her off."
The girls were on the verge of tears: "Then who are you, really?!"
"Me?" Chu Yin shoved her hands into her pockets and walked out of the alley. "I’m the school belle’s guardian knight."
Guardian of the world’s best school belle, Song Zhaolin! [heart]
