Chapter 60

Upon hearing this, the male player and Xiao Ling’s eyes filled with a hint of despair.
Why was there a ghost even when making a phone call?
One ghost, they could tolerate; two ghosts, they grew fearful; three ghosts, they were terrified; now with four ghosts, they absolutely did not want to stay in this room any longer.
In the eyes of the male player and Xiao Ling, they had only encountered four ghosts.
Those four ghosts were the female ghost in the television, the ghost emerging from the bathroom tiles, the young man repeatedly reenacting a dismemberment scene on the bed, and now the ghost in the telephone.
They had no idea that there was another ghost in the sink drain of the washbasin.
However, that ghost had already been dealt with by the little girl. Gu Yi’an had no intention of telling these two players, who were already terrified out of their wits, lest they completely break down.
In fact, upon hearing that there was another ghost in the telephone, the male player and Xiao Ling were nearly at their breaking point.
The male player asked Gu Yi’an with frustration, "Senior, can we leave this place? Can we please not stay here anymore? There are so many ghosts here, and we can’t even kill them..."
The most terrifying part was that even Gu Yi’an, their senior, had almost met her end.
If they stayed here any longer, wouldn’t they just be waiting to die?
The male player felt utterly miserable inside.
He said, "If there were a tool to kill ghosts, I’d really grab it and go kill them."
His tone was quite resolute as he spoke.
Gu Yi’an thought for a moment and decided she needed to encourage these two novice players to prevent them from falling into despair and losing all will to fight. She said, "It’s not entirely impossible."
The male player had only been speaking casually and hadn’t expected Gu Yi’an to respond so seriously.
He looked embarrassed, worried that Senior Gu might have mistaken his words as a request for a life-saving tool, and quickly tried to explain himself.
"No, Senior, I didn’t mean to ask for your things."
Gu Yi’an shook her head and said, "Not mine. It’s his."
She gestured for the male player to look into the room.
In the center of the room, the scene from the earlier dismemberment had vanished. The bed and the floor were now clean, without a trace of blood.
The young man they had seen earlier, carrying a bag of dismembered body parts to the bathroom, was now standing by the bed again, raising a knife to hack at the corpse lying there.
The dismemberment scene was replaying itself.
Blood once again stained the bedsheets.
Gu Yi’an calmly watched the scene unfolding in the room.
At first, she had felt fear and disgust, but now she had managed to maintain her composure.
She said, "Isn’t he holding a knife? If the opportunity arises, you could snatch it from him."
A knife used by a ghost should be capable of killing the ghost itself.
The male player was stunned, completely unable to believe that these words had come from Gu Yi’an’s mouth.
Snatch something from a ghost to kill it? How brutal!
The male player didn’t misunderstand Gu Yi’an’s intention. She had said that if the opportunity arose, he should take the ghost’s knife, not that he should go to his death.
The male player studied Gu Yi’an carefully. She appeared extremely composed, and under the light, she was so beautiful it was almost mesmerizing.
She was the kind of goddess he would encounter in real life and immediately want to ask for her phone number.
Could it be that beneath every beautiful and calm exterior lies a heart of madness?
The male player gave a thumbs-up.
"Senior, you’re truly ruthless."
Inspired by Gu Yi’an’s calm yet crazed demeanor, the male player looked at the dismemberment scene replaying in the room and no longer felt the same fear and disgust as before. Of course, it might also be because he had already seen it once.
The male player grew restless and said, "I really want to snatch that knife right now."
His voice wasn’t loud, but it still echoed throughout the room.
The young man dismembering the corpse on the bed had his knife stuck in the bones of the body.
He tugged once and pulled the knife out.
The female player Xiao Ling happened to witness this scene.
She had also turned to look because of the conversation between Gu Yi'an and the male player.
Xiao Ling looked puzzled and said, "Earlier, the knife didn't seem to get stuck, right?"
As she spoke, she averted her gaze, not daring to look any longer.
The male player didn't think much of it. "There are bones, it's not that easy."
Though he said that, he also shifted his gaze away.
Neither of them had dared to watch the process closely earlier, only keeping an eye on the young man's head to avoid him suddenly appearing in front of them.
Now that Gu Yi'an had come out, the male player and Xiao Ling felt they had a protector and didn't even want to keep staring at the young man's head anymore.
The male player still wanted to go outside.
"Senior, can we go out? Not far, just stand in the hallway or at the doorway of the room."
He was genuinely terrified by the ghosts in the room.
Gu Yi'an didn't mind either way.
She knew that for the two of them, who had likely never seen ghosts before, suddenly facing a room full of them was too much of a psychological test. It wouldn't hurt to let them step out.
Gu Yi'an said, "Give it a try."
The male player had been waiting for Gu Yi'an to say that.
He immediately strode to the door and tried to open it.
In fact, when Uncle Wu and the others left earlier, opening the door had been very easy. But the problem was, when Uncle Wu and the others left, there weren't so many ghosts around yet.
The male player was afraid the door wouldn't open.
But reality surprised him, the door opened instantly.
Seeing this, the male player turned back joyfully to Gu Yi'an and Xiao Ling and said, "Let's wait outside... Why do you two look so pale? Xiao Ling, why do you look so awful? Learn from Senior, even when she frowns, she looks good."
As he spoke, he kept his head turned, slowly backing up step by step, trying to get closer to Gu Yi'an and the others.
The male player wasn't stupid; he knew something strange must be happening around him for Senior Gu and the others to have such expressions.
He pretended nothing was wrong, but he kept moving toward where Gu Yi'an was.
Gu Yi'an looked toward the door and said to the male player, "You can stop now."
Only then did the male player dare to look toward the door.
The door was open, and one could see the hallway lights. Everything in sight was brightly lit.
"There's nothing unusual."
The male player didn't notice anything out of the ordinary.
The female player Xiao Ling said, "There was a ghost behind the door just now."
"Huh?"
The male player was stunned and looked at Gu Yi'an.
Gu Yi'an nodded, they had indeed seen it.
Gu Yi'an calmly recounted, "After you opened the door, we saw a woman's hand with red-painted nails reaching out from behind the door."
This description left the male player silent for a few seconds.
There was a ghost behind the door too?
Suddenly, the male player made a frantic dash out the door, instantly vanishing from the room and reappearing in the hallway.
He simply couldn't stand being in a room full of ghosts anymore.
After rushing out, he let out a long sigh of relief and turned to wave at Gu Yi'an and Xiao Ling inside.
"Senior, Xiao Ling, come out. Don't stay in there."
The room was too terrifying, filled with ghosts everywhere, and the male player no longer had the courage to remain inside.
Hearing this, Xiao Ling felt tempted and glanced at Gu Yi'an.
From the looks of it, the ghosts in the room didn't seem to be stopping them from leaving.
Gu Yi'an glanced behind the door.
The female ghost with red-painted nails didn't seem intent on taking the male player's life; when he retreated, she withdrew as if just trying to scare them.
Gu Yi'an said to Xiao Ling, "If there's no danger outside, you should rush out."
Xiao Ling could leave.
But Gu Yi'an had no intention of leaving herself.
She was a bit worried that if they all left, they might not be able to re-enter the room.
The female ghost behind the door might not let them back in.
Better safe than sorry.
Xiao Ling hesitated for a moment.
Outside the door, the male player looked down one side of the hallway and suddenly cursed, "What the hell is this thing?!"
He glanced around, then gritted his teeth and dashed back into the room at top speed.
"Help!"
As soon as the male player rushed back in, a small white figure appeared at the doorway.
It floated in mid-air, with a tiny round white head and a skirt-like lower body, clearly a small, cute-looking white ghost.
Xiao Ling was taken aback. "What is this? Another ghost?"
As she spoke, she moved closer to Gu Yi'an.
The male player said urgently, "Be careful, it's just shrunk in size."
He was very worried that Gu Yi'an and Xiao Ling might let their guard down because of ghost's small and harmless appearance.
Under the male player's watchful gaze, his pillar of strength, Senior Gu, stepped forward with cool composure.
She reached out, unhesitatingly grabbed the floating ghost's round little head, and stuffed it into her pocket.
Throughout the entire process, the ghost offered no resistance, its small skirt not even twitching, as if completely frozen.
Gu Yi'an said, "Done."
She had thought it was something else, but it turned out to be that hanged ghost sneaking out to play.
At first, she thought she might have misidentified it, but when she stared at the ghost, it just floated there without coming in and didn't dare to speak.
Moreover, when she caught it, it didn't even try to evade her hand and put up no resistance at all.
Gu Yi'an was convinced it had to be the hanged ghost.
The hanged ghost had previously peeked out from her pocket, so it was highly likely it had slipped out without her noticing.
To prevent the male player and Xiao Ling from suspecting that she knew this ghost, Gu Yi'an immediately captured the ghost and tossed it back into the pocket where she kept her props.
The male player was dumbfounded. He looked at Gu Yi'an, then at her jacket pocket.
Was it really resolved just like that?
Could Senior Gu's clothing pocket contain some powerful life-saving item?
The male and female player, Xiao Ling, looked quite confused, but they both realized one thing: the white ghost from earlier had been dealt with by Gu Yi'an.
They gazed at Gu Yi'an with immense admiration.
Veteran players were truly veteran players.
When it was time to act, they didn't hesitate in the slightest.
Gu Yi'an glanced at her motionless coat pocket, still feeling that something wasn't quite right.
She had a nagging feeling that she might have mistaken the ghost.
Gu Yi'an didn't check her pocket.
Naturally, she didn't see that inside her pocket, two white ghost were "staring" at each other.
The pocket was dark, but ghosts could sense each other through their auras, no light was needed.
The newly arrived ghost trembled as it sensed the aura within.
The original ghost was furious upon discovering that the new imposter dared to look exactly like it.
How dare another ghost impersonate it?
Was it trying to steal its place in front of the Ghost Queen?
Enough was enough. There was no need to hold back any longer.
The original ghost roared, "Ghost Queen, there's a ghost impersonating me!"
An extremely unpleasant, grating male voice, like the sound of sawing through steel, suddenly emerged from Gu Yi'an's coat pocket.
The male player stumbled back five steps in fright.
Xiao Ling, the female player closest to Gu Yi'an, covered her chest and retreated, feeling as if she was about to have a heart attack from the scare.
Xiao Ling stared at Gu Yi'an in shock.
Her mind was in a daze, filled with all sorts of unbelievable thoughts.
She wondered if Senior Gu had been replaced by some unknown ghost back in the restroom.
But then Xiao Ling realized that couldn't be right, the voice had come from the pocket where Senior Gu had just stored the ghost.
"Senior, is there something wrong with the ghost you just captured?" Xiao Ling asked cautiously.
The male player looked at Gu Yi'an and said, "Senior, does it want to come out? It can't come out, right?"
Neither of them had clearly heard the content of the grating voice moments earlier, assuming it was the ghost Gu Yi'an had captured struggling and trying to escape.
But Gu Yi'an had clearly understood what the voice said.
Having heard the hanged ghost's noisy voice many times, she naturally recognized it.
Oh well. In this world full of ghosts, she might as well let the hanged ghost and the others out for a vacation.
Come to think of it, this was indeed the holiday the black text in the pure white space had mentioned, a holiday for the hanged ghost, the notebook, and the others.
Gu Yi'an first reassured the male player and Xiao Ling.
"It's fine. It's just a conflict between a ghost I just caught and the one I keep."
Hearing this, the male player relaxed. "Oh, so that's what it is, a conflict with the ghost you keep... Wait, the ghost you keep?"
The male player was stunned.
Xiao Ling, however, remained calm.
When Gu Yi'an had caught the ghost and stuffed it into her pocket, Xiao Ling had already suspected that this senior might be someone who kept ghosts, which would explain her swift and precise movements in capturing it.
Gu Yi'an's statement was within Xiao Ling's expectations and didn't surprise her much.
Seeing that both Xiao Ling and the male player had calmed down, Gu Yi'an opened her pocket and said, "Come out."
A white shadow shot out of Gu Yi'an's pocket and abruptly halted mid-air.
The male player and Xiao Ling saw that the white shadow was actually two ghost dolls.
Two?
The male player hesitated and asked, "Senior, does that item of yours have the ability to duplicate ghosts?"
How did it turn into two ghost dolls?
One of the white ghost dolls floated arrogantly above the other, while the one on top tearfully accused, "Your Highness, this ghost is impersonating me!"
Gu Yi'an ignored it for the moment and looked at her jacket pocket. "You two come out as well."
As soon as she said this, a two-centimeter-tall little girl happily flew out of the pocket.
The little girl's previously bloated belly had already deflated. She circled around Gu Yi'an once before landing on her shoulder.
The male player glanced at the little girl sitting on Gu Yi'an's shoulder and couldn't help but remark, "Senior, the ghost you keep... is quite cute."
He had initially thought Gu Yi'an kept the kind of vengeful female ghosts in red dresses from horror movies or the pitch-black ghosts from bathroom stories.
He had nearly lost his mind.
Fortunately, Gu Yi'an didn't keep that kind.
At least he wasn't surrounded by ferocious ghosts.
When the female player Xiao Ling saw the little girl, her fear of ghosts lessened somewhat.
Not all ghosts were terrifying, some, like the ones Gu Yi'an kept, were actually quite adorable.
Xiao Ling wondered if the ghosts Gu Yi'an kept were weaker in strength, given how cute they looked.
She kept this thought to herself and didn't voice it.
Gu Yi'an glanced at her pocket again and waited a moment, but a certain notebook still hadn't emerged.
The fire dragon hadn't come out either.
Gu Yi'an wasn't sure if the fire dragon had followed her into the game, but she was certain the notebook was there.
The hanging ghost floating mid-air noticed Gu Yi'an was still waiting and wisely chose to remain silent, not disturbing her. Instead, it used its lower body to vigorously slap the head of the ghost doll beneath it.
How dare it impersonate me and make Her Highness mistake it for me!
It's all its fault, it deserves a beating.
As for the counterfeit ghost doll below, it was no match for the one on top and could only endure the beating passively.
The male player and Xiao Ling watched the two ghost dolls fighting and found the scene both bizarre and amusing.
The male player whispered to Xiao Ling, "If all ghosts were like this, I could take on a hundred of them by myself."
Xiao Ling glanced at him and said, "I think it's the opposite. It could probably take on a hundred of you."
As she spoke, the hanging ghost, who was busy beating the counterfeit doll, overheard her and shot her an appreciative look.
If this were its game, it would save this girl for last and let her live a little longer.
Gu Yi'an saw that the notebook still hadn't emerged and knew it wouldn't be coming out.
It had the chance to appear, but it chose not to.
Had it already slipped away?
Gu Yi'an wasn't sure. She decided she'd check later to see if the notebook was still there.
She naturally let go and shifted her gaze to the ghost hanging in mid-air.
The hanging ghost, realizing the notebook hadn't appeared, knew things had taken a turn for the worse.
It immediately raised its voice to grab Gu Yi'an's attention.
"Your Highness, this ghost is imitating my petite and adorable appearance!"
This form was my exclusive design!
It's infringing on my design!"
The male player and Xiao Ling, standing nearby, were dumbfounded.
A ghost's appearance had a unique design?
Was this ghost joking?
Because the hanging ghost's subsequent words were so shocking, they completely overlooked its form of address for Gu Yi'an, assuming it was just a peculiar nickname.
Gu Yi'an looked at the two ghost. From the hanging ghost's words, she could infer that the ghosts and monsters across the various worlds of The Game of the Gods might be aware of each other.
Gu Yi'an tentatively asked the hanging ghost, "How did it learn about your form?"
The hanging ghost replied, "Your Highness, have you forgotten? I used to run a livestream! This ghost must have watched my stream and copied me!"
If the hanging ghost hadn't mentioned it, Gu Yi'an would have nearly forgotten, in the game where she first encountered the hanging ghost, it had been using a paper phone to livestream a game of ghost tag.
Unfortunately, she never got her hands on that paper phone that could call the underworld.
So, did that mean ghosts in this world could watch livestreams from ghosts in other worlds through paper phones?
Gu Yi'an turned her attention to the ghost that the hanging ghost kept slapping and asked, "Did you let me catch you on purpose?"
Capturing it had been a bit too easy.
The counterfeit ghost below had already figured out that Gu Yi'an was the one in charge.
As soon as she posed the question, the ghost restraining it above loosened its control, finally giving it a chance to speak for itself.
It burst into tears, wailing, "Your Highness, no! The moment I appeared, your gaze locked onto me, how could I dare to move?"
Gu Yi'an: "..."
That excuse was far too flimsy.
This ghost had suddenly appeared at the door. It wasn't just her, Xiao Ling and the male player had been staring at it too.
Gu Yi'an initially mistook the counterfeit sunny doll for a hanged ghost, but she didn’t think her glare had been particularly intimidating.
The counterfeit sunny doll understood Gu Yi'an’s expression and quickly added, "Others have stared at me too, but the way you looked at me was like a head teacher catching a truant student. I, I was a terrible student when I was alive, so I’m scared of teachers, okay?"
Is that even a valid reason?
The male player and Xiao Ling exchanged a glance and suddenly realized something: when facing ghosts, they must project confidence.
Perhaps ghosts are even more afraid of humans.
Gu Yi’an felt a bit helpless hearing the counterfeit sunny doll’s explanation.
"You could have dodged when I grabbed you," Gu Yi’an said.
At her words, the counterfeit sunny doll felt even more aggrieved. "Your Highness, I wanted to! But you grabbed my head so fast, I didn’t even have a chance to react."
If it had been able to react in time, would it have ended up being bullied by other ghosts like this?
It really wanted to dodge, but by the time it realized what was happening, it was already stuffed into a pocket.
The hanged ghost above cast a disdainful look at the counterfeit sunny doll. This ghost was truly an embarrassment to their kind.
But when it turned its gaze to Gu Yi’an, its thoughts instantly shifted. The princess consort was truly the princess consort, capturing a minor ghost was as easy as pie for her.
Just by looking at the hanged ghost’s expression, Gu Yi’an knew it was about to flatter her again.
"Don’t speak for now," Gu Yi’an told the hanged ghost.
The hanged ghost immediately shut its mouth.
Gu Yi’an then asked the counterfeit sunny doll, "What’s the deal with your appearance?"
She was asking on behalf of the hanged ghost.
Hearing this question, the counterfeit sunny doll felt even more wronged. "Your Highness, I wasn’t impersonating anyone! After I died, I possessed this sunny doll. I originally planned to come in through the window, but then I noticed all of you were at the door, so I entered through the corridor instead."
How was it supposed to know that the appearance of a sunny doll could be exclusive?
The counterfeit sunny doll felt utterly unjustly accused.
Upon hearing the counterfeit’s explanation, the hanged ghost, which had been full of righteous indignation, deflated.
It had been mistaken, the other hadn’t intentionally imitated it.
The hanged ghost proactively apologized to Gu Yi’an, "Princess Consort, I was wrong. I shouldn’t have spoken up."
The hanged ghost knew Gu Yi’an had originally intended for them to stay in the pocket as her hidden trump cards.
"It’s fine," Gu Yi’an said. "This world makes it easier for you to come out."
With two fierce ghosts as bodyguards, she might just get to experience what it feels like to swagger around like a tyrant here.
Gu Yi’an still had more questions for the counterfeit sunny doll.
"Do all of you want to kill us?"
This question stumped the counterfeit sunny doll.
It glanced at Gu Yi’an and tactfully replied, "We wouldn’t dare kill you."
As for the others, they were absolutely fair game.
The male player exclaimed, "So you want to kill us?"
He was furious. "Why? We’re here to help you. Once our phones arrive, we’ll take photos as evidence to clear your names and bring you justice. And you’d kill good people like us?"
Xiao Ling seemed thoughtful. Since the male player had voiced everything she wanted to ask, she remained silent.
The counterfeit sunny doll ignored his words and kept its attention solely on Gu Yi’an.
Gu Yi’an had a rough idea already, ghosts no longer saw humans as their own kind. They didn’t care about their past lives; all they wanted was to kill.
In order for the male player and Xiao Ling to understand the reason, Gu Yi'an spoke up to ask on their behalf: "Why kill those who enter the room?"
Gu Yi'an's question forced the fake sunny doll to answer.
It dared not offend Gu Yi'an.
The fake sunny doll stammered, "Well... food that comes knocking on the door, it’d be a waste not to eat it."
As soon as it finished speaking, the male player grabbed it.
The male player was furious. He used both hands, tearing at it fiercely.
Contrary to his expectation of the sunny doll being torn apart, its lower body stretched out long and thin, completely unharmed.
The male player cursed, released his grip, and gave up on destroying the sunny doll.
The hanging ghost floating above witnessed the fake one’s ordeal and quickly drifted to Gu Yi'an’s unoccupied shoulder, seeking her protection.
It feared the male player might lose his temper and tear it apart. In the presence of the princess consort, it dared not harm humans and would have to endure any attack without retaliation.
After the male player let go, the fake sunny doll seized the perfect opportunity to escape. It drifted out the door and vanished from Gu Yi'an’s sight.
Gu Yi'an had been unsure how to deal with the fake sunny doll, so its escape was just as well.
The male player, whose anger had clouded his mind, finally calmed down and asked, "Senior, how exactly should we handle these ghosts?"
Was there really no way to kill them?
After learning that the ghosts saw them only as food, the male player was consumed by thoughts of destroying them.
Gu Yi'an glanced down at the little girl on her shoulder. Her only solution was to let the ghosts devour each other.
But harming innocent ghosts didn’t seem right either.
The room fell into silence.
"Thump!"
"Thump!"
Suddenly, a strange sound echoed in the room.
Despite having experienced so many bizarre events, the male player and Xiao Ling were still startled by the noise.
The male player blurted out, "Another ghost?"
"Stay calm," Gu Yi'an said.
She immediately looked toward the source of the sound.
It was coming from the small window.
A person’s head poked through the small window and asked, "What’s going on here?"
The male player recognized the face.
"Brother Dai!"
Dai Qi, who had gone to fetch the phone from the security guard, had returned.
From outside the window, Dai Qi saw a young man dissecting a corpse in the middle of the room, while the three players inside seemed to ignore the gruesome scene unfolding before them.
The entire scene was extremely eerie, making him unable to resist asking the three players what exactly was going on.
The male player said, "Brother Dai, come in. There’s no danger. That ghost is just reenacting something that happened in the past."
Dai Qi glanced at him, then at Gu Yi'an, who now had two small figures perched on her shoulders.
Gu Yi'an said, "It’s fine. You can come in."
The ghost kept repeating the dismemberment scene and hadn’t actually attacked them yet.
With Gu Yi'an’s reassurance, Dai Qi squeezed through the small window into the room.
He carried a bag in his hand, cautiously passing by the area where the young man was and arriving in front of Gu Yi'an and the others.
"The bag contains phones."
After introducing the bag, Dai Qi got straight to the point, saying, "I discovered something in the security room. They’re in contact with people involved in organ trafficking. If we hadn’t come here earlier and instead went straight to the security room from the hotel, we might have been drugged and had our organs harvested while still alive. But if we die in this room, they’d probably just sell our bodies."
The male player was shocked. "Just sell our bodies?"
He continued, "Wait, organ trafficking is just too lawless, isn’t it?"
Upon hearing this, the female player Xiao Ling paled slightly but remained steady on her feet.
After all, she had already witnessed the young man in the room dismembering a corpse and had built up some mental resilience.
Both new players were performing quite well, which satisfied the veteran player Dai Qi.
Gu Yi'an had anticipated that if they had chosen not to stay in the hotel earlier, they would likely have encountered some other terrifying situation.
So it was organ trafficking.
Gu Yi'an said, "This hotel is involved in so many illegal activities. We can’t stay silent, we have to find a way to expose them all."
Dai Qi nodded. "We need evidence first before exposing them. Otherwise, it’ll just be dismissed as rumors. Let’s gather proof."
He opened the bag in his hand and said, "My phone looks the same as the one I use in real life, and the password is the same too. Grab yours."
The male player and Xiao Ling recognized their phones in the bag.
Gu Yi'an said, "I’ll get mine in a moment."
She turned and headed to the bathroom.
Earlier, a ghost had appeared in the sink, and coupled with her concern for the safety of the male player and the others, she hadn’t washed off the bit of hand soap still on her hands.
Gu Yi'an still felt a bit uneasy about the sink, but when she saw the reflection of the two ghosts on her shoulders in the mirror above, she calmed down.
If another ghost appeared, it would only be dealt with by the hanged ghost and the little girl.
She wasn’t the one who should be afraid.
After washing her hands, Gu Yi'an turned off the faucet.
The little girl flew down and blew on Gu Yi'an’s hands.
The water droplets slid off.
"Thank you," Gu Yi'an said.
She thought for a moment, then unzipped her jacket pocket and glanced inside.
She wanted to know where that notebook had gone and why it hadn’t shown up earlier.
As soon as she opened her pocket, a miniature notebook floated out.
Had the notebook come out on its own?
Gu Yi'an raised an eyebrow.
Did the notebook have something to say to her?
Seeing this, the little girl and the hanged ghost silently drifted down and returned to Gu Yi'an’s pocket.
They didn’t dare stick around and be in the way.
Calmly, Gu Yi'an asked, "Is there something you need?"
The miniature notebook slowly returned to its original size.
It leisurely opened, and a line of text appeared on it, as if revealing its delight.
"You missed me, so I came to see you."
Was she thinking about the notebook?
She just wanted to see if it was there.
This guy had entered the game but hadn’t come out yet, so she wanted to know if it was still by her side.
Gu Yi’an calmly replied, "I was just checking if you were here. They’re all here."
She definitely hadn’t missed the notebook.
On the notebook, new words appeared one by one, as if revealing someone’s current good mood.
"But you were waiting for me just now. You missed me."
It slowed down the speed at which the words appeared, as if speaking very seriously.
"I missed you too."
