Chapter 39

So Xing Luo changed tactics. She moved directly in front of Ye Lixiao, running her small paws over his abs several times, teasing him aloud: “Your Highness, your body is really something. it truly stirs my heart!”
Afterward, Xing Luo could feel that Ye Lixiao’s body seemed stiff, and a faint blush appeared on his handsome face. She thought he was angry.
As expected, Ye Lixiao was indeed embarrassed and furious. Xing Luo bolted, eventually using a teleportation talisman to safely return to the Demon Realm.
She even suspected that Ye Lixiao might want to kill her, but in reality, the man hadn’t intended any real harm. He only wanted to scare her, to make her leave quickly.
After all, Ye Lixiao hadn’t been wearing clothes at the time; he didn’t want her to see his transformation.
Not long after the incident of spying on him bathing, Xing Luo fell victim to Feng Lu’s corpse poison. When Ye Lixiao seized the Wanqucao Herb she needed to save her life, she realized just how much he hated her.
Xing Luo had always thought Ye Lixiao wanted to kill her because she had spied on him bathing. Even though she had teased him, that wasn’t the real issue, the real problem was that she had seen his weak spot, his “reverse scale,” which he could not tolerate being exposed.
Yet Xing Luo never intended to harm him; he wanted to destroy her.
Before all this, Xing Luo had enjoyed teasing Ye Lixiao, but she never teased others like that!
She approached him because she was interested, wanting to get close to him, to build a good relationship. But he had despised her so deeply.
After that, Xing Luo completely changed her attitude, severing ties with him, becoming his enemy, showing him disdain.
It wasn’t until her rebirth that their relationship began to change again.
No, more accurately, their current relationship had become somewhat unusual, they had already kissed.
She didn’t know how Ye Lixiao would react once he realized she truly was Xing Luo.
Xing Luo’s big eyes fixed on Ye Lixiao’s abs. She extended her fluffy little paws and stroked them gently.
Feeling her touch, a trace of indulgent amusement flickered in Ye Lixiao’s eyes. Fortunately, she was using her cat paws, if it had been human hands, he might already have pinned her down on the bed.
Not long after, Ye Lixiao lifted Xing Luo, dressed himself, and returned to the bedchamber.
Back in the room, Ye Lixiao held her close as they slept.
The next day.
When Xing Luo woke, Ye Lixiao was gone. She transformed back into human form, dressed, and went to find him.
He was in the courtyard, and when he saw her, Ye Lixiao handed her a talisman.
“What’s this?” Xing Luo asked, feigning ignorance, though she already knew, it was a teleportation talisman. She just didn’t understand why Ye Lixiao had given it to her.
“Keep it with you at all times,” Ye Lixiao commanded without explanation.
This was a specially made teleportation talisman, linked to Ye Lixiao’s consciousness.
Ordinary talismans require the user to ignite them with spiritual energy to activate.
But considering that Xing Luo’s cultivation level was too low, if any accident occurred, her body might not react quickly enough. If she activated the talisman herself, it wouldn’t be safe. That’s why Ye Lixiao made this special talisman.
It didn’t require her to use her own spiritual energy. The talisman contained Ye Lixiao’s blood, allowing him to activate it instantly through thought, even across thousands of miles.
If anything happened in the Ghost Realm, if there was any danger, he could immediately use the talisman to teleport Xing Luo safely back to the Demon Realm.
