Shen Yu's emotions were still lingering on the earlier commotion at the entrance, and she was still worried about Shen Xiao's injury. Suddenly hearing the words "Miss Bai," she was momentarily unable to react.

That top-tier female antagonist whose very name made Shen Yu grit her teeth, were they really going to meet so soon? She was completely unprepared.
Yesterday, Shen Xiao had mentioned having an appointment with Bai Muqing, and Shen Yu assumed they would go somewhere romantic. But it turned out they were meeting at the company, was this for business or personal matters?!
Just last night, she had decided to prevent Shen Xiao and Bai Muqing from developing feelings for each other. The elevator went straight to the top floor. When the doors opened, a long corridor stretched out before them, lined with a red carpet. The bodyguard led them toward Shen Xiao's office. The door was wide open, and as they approached, they heard a soft, sweet female voice say, "Didn't you say there was no danger? How did you get injured just by going down?"
Then came Shen Xiao's familiar voice, sounding completely indifferent: "It's just a minor wound."
The other person continued, "People who come looking for trouble like that are dangerous. You shouldn't have gone down earlier."
Shen Xiao clicked his tongue and said, "I had to go down. How else would I get to see how miserable they are now?"
After saying this, he chuckled to himself.

Shen Yu was already accustomed to his habit of deriving pleasure from others' suffering and wasn't the least bit surprised.
After taking a few steps into the office, she saw Shen Xiao lounging casually on a long sofa, while a girl in professional attire bent over to tend to his wound. On a single-seater sofa nearby sat a young woman dressed fashionably with impeccable makeup. Without even asking, Shen Yu knew this woman was Bai Muqing. She had seen her on TV before, not just her, but even the male and female leads, Situ Yi and Yuan Yue, Shen Yu had thoroughly researched their information.
After entering, Shen Yu discreetly scanned the people in the office before obediently calling out, "Brother."
Remembering his ruthless demeanor earlier in the small square, Shen Yu was even more submissive now.
Seeing her come in, Shen Xiao immediately waved away the assistant beside him and motioned for Shen Yu to come over and bandage his wound.
Shen Yu felt annoyed. This guy always ordered her around so effortlessly. She was his sister, not his personal maid!
Uncle Li followed behind, also giving Bai Muqing a few glances before placing the documents on the desk. He then turned to Shen Xiao and asked, "Sir, are you alright? Shouldn’t we have a doctor take a look at your injury?"
Shen Xiao replied, "It’s just a minor wound. No need."
Uncle Li nodded and said, "Then I’ll wait for the young lady in the lounge." After politely nodding to Bai Muqing, he turned and left.
The office fell silent for a few seconds. Shen Xiao didn’t think to introduce the two women, but seeing Shen Yu’s reluctant expression only spurred him on. He frowned and urged, "Hurry up, what are you dawdling for? The blood’s going to drain dry."
Shen Yu: “…”
It’s not like a running faucet, how could it drain that fast?!
Complaints aside, she quickly walked over to him and glanced down at the wound. The assistant had already cleaned it, and without the blood obscuring it, she could clearly see the torn, exposed flesh. It sent shivers down her spine. In her eyes, the wound was far from small, yet he acted as if it were nothing.
Closing her eyes briefly, she picked up the medicinal powder nearby and gently sprinkled it over the wound. Shen Xiao winced in pain, his arm involuntarily flinching, causing the powder to scatter off-target.
"Clumsy," he muttered under his breath, disdainful but not interrupting her. After a moment, he asked, "Did you meet the big star? Are you happy?"
Shen Yu pursed her lips and lowered her gaze, feigning shyness, while secretly stealing glances at Bai Muqing out of the corner of her eye. Before she had entered, Bai Muqing had been speaking to Shen Xiao in an intimate, familiar tone. But after Shen Yu came in, Bai Muqing fell silent, simply watching her quietly, as if assessing a valuable commodity. It made Shen Yu feel somewhat uncomfortable.
Shen Xiao tapped the back of her hand and said, "Say hello."
Without hesitation, Shen Yu softly greeted, "Hello, Sister Bai."
Bai Muqing smiled, her eyes curving like crescent moons. "So this little girl is your sister?"
Shen Xiao nodded. "What do you think? Quite well-behaved, right?"
It sounded like he was praising a pet!
Bai Muqing stood up gracefully, striding over in her red high heels with a cat-like gait. She examined Shen Yu once more and said, "She doesn’t look much like you."
Anyone who took the time to learn about the Shen family would know they had an adopted daughter picked up from outside. Bai Muqing had approached Shen Xiao with ulterior motives from the start, she couldn’t possibly be unaware of this fact. Yet she pretended to know nothing, a testament to her acting skills.
Shen Xiao, playing with a lighter in his uninjured hand, glanced at Shen Yu and replied indifferently, "No matter how unlike me she is, she’s still my sister."
Bai Muqing quickly realized she had broached an awkward topic and didn’t press further. Instead, she leaned down and asked Shen Yu, "Little sister, would you like an autograph? I can sign as many as you want, I have time now."
Could she say she didn’t want it at all? But when Shen Yu looked up, her words came out as, "Really? Is that okay?"
Bai Muqing was instantly pleased by her eager expression and generously said, "Of course. After you finish bandaging your brother, I’ll sign for you."
Earlier, when the assistant had treated Shen Xiao’s wound, she had bent over. But Shen Yu was too tall to bend comfortably, so she simply crouched down, her gaze just slightly higher than Shen Xiao’s arm.
For some inexplicable reason, Shen Xiao felt a surge of irritation when he saw her lift her head to speak with Bai Muqing. Without waiting for his wound to be fully treated, he abruptly pulled Shen Yu up and said, "Do it on the sofa!"
Shen Yu: “…”
This man truly acted on a whim. She had been meticulously sprinkling medicine on his wound, not even daring to breathe too heavily, and with one move, he had rendered all her efforts futile!
After taking a deep breath, she obediently got up and sat beside Shen Xiao.
Shen Xiao had just exerted force with his arm, causing the wound to start bleeding again. Shen Yu placed a cushion on her lap, rested his hand on it, gently blew on the wound, and then continued applying the medicine.
Beside them, Bai Muqing silently watched the siblings' interaction, covering her mouth as she chuckled softly. "You two have such a good relationship. I have a younger sister too, but we can't sit down and have a proper conversation, we just bicker whenever we meet."
Shen Xiao was quite satisfied with their current position and felt like chatting. "How old is your sister?"
Bai Muqing replied, "She just turned 20 and is studying acting at the film academy."
Shen Xiao then asked Shen Yu, "Didn't you also attend the film academy?"

What kind of older brother was he? He didn't even know where his own sister studied.
"Yeah," she answered casually.
Bai Muqing seemed surprised and quickly said, "Then do you know my sister? Her name is Bai Muyu."
Shen Yu: “…”
Not only did she know her, but she had also recently gotten into a spat with Bai Muyu. After a moment's thought, she said, "We're not close."
There was no friendship between them whatsoever, they really weren't close.
Bai Muqing said, "Then I'll introduce you two sometime. At the end of next month, the school is holding an anniversary celebration, and she's busy preparing a performance. I'll be attending as an alumna."
